Work was completed in a timely manner. I appreciate that I get feedback on the diagnosis. This is the second time that I had my car serviced at your station. The only added service that I would appreciate is if you called the customer when the job was completed. Both times that I had my car serviced, I had to call to check if my car was ready.

Ned and his staff to the rescue again! Our 12 year old Dodge Durango has been a great vehicle for our ten or more trips to Tahoe every year during summer and winter. Very few problems.But like all vehicles things wear out. We noticed a noise in the front end, so took it to 5 Star Auto Service. Ned and his staff are so trustworthy and fantastic mechanics. The front brakes were done as well as a hub on the front left. We had the rear brake cylinders replaced as well because they were leaking.Diagnosis was completed by 10:00 AM and we picked up the truck at 4:45 PM, all repairs completed!I wholeheartedly recommend 5 Star to all of my family and friends.

My wife her Durango in with the complaint that it wouldn't back up without lots of acceleration. I'm thinking that this would be expensive. But Ned is an honest man. Turns out she had accidentally turned the switch for the 4 wheel drive!He called me and explained what was going on with the Durango. That he couldn't charge us for turning the switch back. He then reminded me that the vehicle was due for an oil change. Went with the oil change.Ned and his staff are awesome mechanics and HONEST!

Ned and his team diagnose the problem and correct it in a reasonable amount of time. I wouldn't think of taking my car to any other mechanics.

I moved to the area a while back... and started having car problems. I'd had a small, family-owned mechanic I'd taken my truck to back in Santa Clara, but the distance made that a no-go. So I checked with AAA and Yelp. 5 Star Auto is AAA approved (a big plus), has good reviews on Yelp, AND is walking-distance from my home. So taking my truck here the first time was a no-brainer. I'm so glad I did. Ned is a great guy to deal with. He's easy to talk to and communicate with, and isn't pushy like some mechanics are. He'll make suggestions and recommendations, but if you say no, that's that. His estimates are usually pretty accurate (I think I've always had my truck come in at or under estimate), and the work gets done in a timely manner. The biggest thing for me is that I feel totally confident that I'm being dealt with honestly and truthfully. Some places give off a total snake-oil salesman vibe where you get the feeling they're just trying to take you for a ride and wring the most money out of you, but 5 Star isn't one of those places. I've now brought my truck in several times and won't hesitate to do so again. Oh, and if (like me) you work crazy hours, you can drop your car off after hours too. I've done it a couple times now, and it really helped schedule-wise. It's just a nice little feature of theirs. Not even my old mechanic in Santa Clara offered after-hours drop-off.
